Les pôles de compétitivité

Presentation

Nuclear Valley is a not for profit organisation created in 2005 by industrialists and public bodies present in Burgundy, the historical center of boiler making and sheet metal work for the French nuclear industry. The project was selected by the State as one of the 71 competitiveness clusters, the only one dedicated to the civil nuclear industry (for more information: www.competitivite.gouv.fr).

Initiated by a dozen or so local operators, today Nuclear Valley has more than 200 members, stakeholders in the French nuclear sector, mainly located in Burgundy, the Rhone Valley and the Paris region.

In its role as a cluster, the objective of Nuclear Valley is to:

  • encourage innovation, particularly in SMEs, by means of collaborative research projects which qualify for public funding,
  • work towards the setting up of training courses which meet the requirements of the sector,
  • develop synergy and cooperation between members.
